TACEA holds general assembly, election

Officers and members of the Tacurong City Employees Association (TACEA) gathered at the city gymnasium on May 27, 2011 for its general assembly and election.
Things started off with an opening program where City Mayor Lina Montilla, who graced the gathering, assured the members of her continued support to the association and the welfare of the membership. She also asked for the members’ continued commitment to serve the people of Tacurong.
Invited speaker Mr. Daniel Robles shared his wisdom based on his years of experience as a union leader. He also cited TACEA as one of the active associations in the region, a proof of which is Mr. Tomas Robles being the president of the Public Sector Alliance of SOCSKSARGEN.
During the assembly proper, outgoing TACEA President Robles presented his report which underscored the accomplishments of the association under his three year term. The treasurer also rendered the financial report of the association.
Part of the general assembly was the conduct of election for the next set of TACEA officers. Ms. Amelia Bochorno, who ran unopposed, was voted as the new President, while outgoing president Robles was elected as Vice President.
Jofrey Soria and Josephine Balino are the new Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Other results were the following: Yvonne Bautista, Auditor; Allan Freno, PIO; Hilda Mercado and Agustin Carvajal, Business Managers; and Eduardo Garcia and Marlow Buenacosa, Sergeant-At-Arms. (Information)
