Two hundred twenty indigents and 30 inmates received ‘media noche’ packs from the Tacurong City Employees Association (TACEA) on December 27-28.
The indigents were identified by the City Social Welfare and Development Office from the 20 barangays in Tacurong. Each ‘media noche’ pack includes a spaghetti set, fruit salad set, bread, soft drinks, and canned goods. Aside from the grocery packs, inmates in the custody of BJMP-Tacurong received individual toiletry packs.
The indigents were gathered on December 28 at the city hall grounds for the gift-giving activity. The program was facilitated by Vice Mayor Charito L. Collado, Councilors Psyche Sucaldito and Jose Remos P. Segura, TACEA President Amelia A. Bochorno, and TACEA members and officials.
“Tani sa bisan gamay namon nga paagi, mabatyagan nyo ang amon nga pagpalangga,” said Vice Mayor Collado.
TACEA members, who are LGU-Tacurong employees and officials, donated cash for the purchase of the said endowments.
