Rotary Club recognizes outstanding Tacurongnons

            The Rotary Club of Tacurong distinguished an EORA member, CVO commander and a traffic enforcer as 2012 Outstanding Tacurongnons.
    The awardees were instrumental in the apprehension of the suspect responsible for an explosion on November 16, 2012 at Crossing Exit, Brgy New Carmen. The explosion was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device or IED. The bomber was intercepted at Panlaque Machine Shop and was brought to the police station for further investigation, says a report from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Battalion, Philippine Army.
    The incident was jointly dealt with and investigated by PNP-Tacurong, Task Force Talakudong, and Philippine Army.
    In 2011, Rotary Club started to award Tacurongnons who have shown bravery and heroism, and those who brought great and positive impact to the community.
    Lutche, Manoy, and Escubio were awarded with plaques of recognition by the Rotary, SK Chamber of Commerce, and Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce on December 22, 2012 during Inugyunay Festival Business Sector Night.
    Identity of the awardees are kept confidential due to the sensitivity of their duties.
